What is your coaching/fitness background?
I grew up with an active lifestyle and discovered CrossFit in the most trying season of my life. I have experienced being uncomfortable in my own skin and feeling defeated by falling into the comparison game with myself. CrossFit has helped me as much mentally as it has physically. To me it’s about embracing our body’s abilities and building it up so we have the muscle and stamina to do all the things God has called us to do.
What is your favorite music to workout to?
When I’m working out, I like to listen to just about anything as long as it had a good beat to it. My personal workout playlist is apparently full of dance music (I had to look up what genre it was….I’m getting old! Ha!)
What is your favorite treat meal?
My favorite treat meal is prime rib or seafood, like Mahi Mahi or scallops, something I rarely make at home! If it’s breakfast, then my treat meal is crepes, a holiday tradition in my family!
Zeina graduated from Lebanese Law University in Lebanon with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Always had a passion for fitness. Worked as Les Mills body Pump and Zumba Instructor in Lebanon for 5 years. Came to the US 16 years ago and got my ISSA (International Sports Science Association) personal training certification, studied nutrition at the Institute of integrative nutrition, and got My kids CrossFit certification and CrossFit L1 certification. Worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for 5 years with optimum fitness. started CrossFit almost 6 years ago and I’m hooked
What is Zeina’s favorite music to work out to?
I love hip-hop music and Latino music (my favorite is Shakira)
What is Zeina’s favorite treat meal?
I love all Middle Eastern food but my favorite would be grape leaves, hummus, dark chocolate, baklava, and chips and guacamole.
